I'm so fucking tired of #fatphobia. Exceptionally tired of it not being an acceptable reason to report/ban someone on most social media. You can have people literally calling for house arrest, torture or forced starvation of people like us and it'll never earn a ban.

If you consider yourself a progressive who believes in the rights of marginalized people, please fight for us, too. There's a LOT of fatphobia on the left. Call it out when you see it, please.

@Kencf618033 Neat! #healthism is the idea that our health is entirely our individual responsibility, and that it is a moral good to be healthy. It intersects and overlaps with #ableism and similarly obscures the social contexts within which health/illness occur, and also intersects with #fatphobia and diet culture. When it intersects with #climate it can look like blaming people (or seeing them as morally inferior) for experiencing climate impacts, like for being more susceptible to heat or AQI.

Yuck. A much lauded designer is deleting comments (and has now locked down her insta) after a few people left comments very complimentary of her designs, but asking for larger sizes.

We need to stop idolizing designers who don't think fat people are worth designing for.
