@MartinM I watched the video and I wish to make a few points:
-She says humans and animals are not the same. That sets the stage for #speciesism.
-There are people that were in the NAZI death camps that have compared their treatment to what is done to animals, good quotes can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holocaust_analogy_in_animal_rights
-Slaves were showcased in zoos in the past (here's an example of a person being in the Bronx Zoo: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ota_Benga ), look at this excellent video by Christopher Sebastian McJetters: https://youtu.be/H_ebX07H4wM
-Gary L Francione touches upon this as well when it comes to slavery and rape: https://www.abolitionistapproach.com/animal-rights-slaveryrape-analogies/
-Here is an interesting article on the link between cows milk and autism. I haven't seen the videos that he posted and he seems to have posted numerous articles/videos on the subject, so I welcome any dissent: https://nutritionfacts.org/2021/06/10/do-casomorphins-from-cows-milk-contribute-to-autism/
-I do appreciate she listed alternative organisations that are doing good for the animals, such as #Faunalytics, #TheHumaneLeague, and #GoodFoodInstitute
Overall, as the person said, PeTA are keen to make a statement, and it's true, before I had any concept of #veganism, #animalRights or knew any #vegans or what even is a #vegan, I knew who #PeTA was. And it seems like they are not apologising for any of their content, while the death and suffering of the voiceless animals continues to occur every single day.
