The light was coming from a sword on a ledge at the side. A rounded rock* was in the middle of the chamber. Just about right to sit on.
“Claiomh Solais, the sword of Light,” said Alice.

Definitely not interchangeable with coke spoons. Suggests a need for the Swiss Army Drug Spoon?

⏩Jane Hoodless :
Absinthe spoons were designed to perch a sugar cube atop the glass, over which ice-cold water was dripped to dilute the absinthe. The lip near the centre of the handle let the spoon rest securely on the rim of the glass.

In 'Gabriel-Ernest' (Hector Hugh Munro, aka Saki, 1909) a man takes in a teenager he finds lounging by a pool in the woods after learning the boy lives outdoors, feeding on wildlife and - so the boy claims - children who stray into his path at night 1/2

'The Wild Hunt' image occurs in folklore across Europe - wailing ghoslty souls in a hunt across winter skies, said to be led by a figure such as Odin (providing very tenuous claims of links with Santa Claus).

"then came the horrible part of the thing; for the man trampled calmly over the child’s body and left her screaming on the ground. It sounds nothing to hear, but it was hellish to see. It wasn’t like a man; it was like some damned Juggernaut."

The Ouzel Galley set sail from Dublin for Turkey in 1695. After missing for 3 years, the ship was presumed lost along with all of her crew. But 2 years later, a tattered and worse for wear Ouzel sailed up the River Liffey. What had happened to the Ouzel Galley?
