Following on from my #post yesterday on the #jigsaw-e resource... well a #study has been done on the #feasibility of implementing it in #primarycare in the #UK and the #results are really positive! #gps and #physiotherapists were involved in this #research. It's also another win for diverse roles in #primarycare as all agreed that #physios were best placed to implement this due to GP time pressures

The transformative changes needed to tackle the climate crisis are happening far too slowly. We argue in Nature Climate Change that a more serious scientific and practical treatment of #feasibility is long overdue.

Feasibility analyses are key to identifying which mitigation initiatives can most effectively change the actions of target actors now and to understanding how to increase the feasibility of transformative initiatives over time.

Some years back, I considered a design to #movewater from the #AtlanticOcean into #Africa passing the #waterpipe through #Nigeria into #Mali for the citizens as #drinkingwater. The issue that was confronting was not #feasibility but rather the cost and who would pay for it; of course, there are also some technological issues like #energystorage, #ambient #heatextraction in addition to use of #solarenergy. Quite interesting as the #solarenergy #electricpower design has been concluded, leaving the specialized #energystorage system as the last hurdle being still worked on.

In Switzerland, researchers can use a federated query system to browse #RoutineHealthData of over half a million #patients (who agreed to the use of their data for research purposes).

This allows #feasibility assessments based on age, gender, diagnosis (in #ICD10), medication (in #ATC), Lab (in #LOINC and #UCUM) and procedures (in #CHOP).

The data is fully anonymized and the system is decentralized, keeping the hospitals in full control of the data.
