Your Singer Featherweight is lovely. Mine is a similar age, a 222 model with the freearm, storage suitcase, plus I bought a zigzag kit, and various other accessories, attachments/ feet; and a full faggotter kit. I bought them about 14 years ago. It sews so smoothly, they really have an addictive, hypnotic rhythm to them. The design is iconic and so beautiful. A coworker's late father collected Featherweights, so I got this as she was selling off his collection. I picked it based on condition and the beautiful scroll work.

I got it oiled and threaded this morning -- the oiling is a little stressful but I think I can get good at it!

It's super tiny, so I put my coffee mug on it for comparison. ...granted, I have a large mug, but not THAT big.

@Jen I love sewing a bit too. When I visit my parents over the holidays I’ll pick up the Singer Featherweight sewing machine my grandmother left me when she passed. I learned to sew on it and was sad for a few years thinking it had been sold in the estate sale. But during a recent conversation with my mom she said “I think we have that somewhere.” And she did!
