I have two #FeaturedHashtags on my #Mastodon profile. If you click any of those you will get all my posts that include the hashtag.

But, and now it should become more interesting!, if you want to find all posts with another tag I've posted with...then you can add /tagged/yourtagofinteresthere to the URL of ie. https://neurodifferent.me/@neurotypeprog

and then it becomes

https://neurodifferent.me/@neurotypeprog/tagged/yourtagofinteresthere

ie. if you were interested in all my posts where I've used the #ActuallyAutistic #HashTag then you can open this link:

It looks like I only got 2 of those.

As an exercise can you see if I got more than 2 posts with the Neurodivergent hashtag or less by modifying the url/link in your browser? If you don't have a #WebBrowser then this #MastodonTrick "#MastodonHack" won't work.

Did you know you have the option to include #FeaturedHashtags on your #Mastodon profile? The @icecubesapp is currently the only app I’ve found that displays them. It also provides an excellent example of how to implement them.

I'm so confused! There's a place in my bio to set "featured hashtags" and the docs say "Once featured, a link to the hashtag will be shown on your profile, with the date of the last time it was used in a status, as well as the total number of statuses in which it was used."

But WHERE on my profile? I can't find a profile view in the web interface that shows these links. Can somebody share a screenshot? Am I just blind?

@paulomalley Thanks for video. I found this post because I couldn’t find where the #featuredhashtags were showing up. They don’t really show up on mobile browsers and I am not aware of any clients that support them. Seems like a great idea that needs improvement for discoverability to lead to more use.

It's hard to choose what to place in #FeaturedHashtags, with a limit of 10. Too many competing interests and identities. I expect I'll keep changing them over time.

Here's my current list:
1. #iNaturalist
2. #Photography
3. #Flickr
4. #Queer
5. #Gay
6. #Insects
7. #Bees
8. #Botany
9. #Brooklyn

Some thoughts:
* I wonder if 3 is needed if 2 is present.
* I'm most likely to change 4&5 in the future, as I learn more about which #Hashtags are preferred.
* I like 6, but I love 7! 😃

Is there a handful of #Hashtags that you like to post about? Do you want people to be able to easily see your posts about these when they look at your profile?
Then #FeaturedHashtags are the thing to use instead of just posting them in your #bio.

This allows people visiting your profile to filter your posts for specific tags. Great for getting to know you better before following you.

Slightly bummed that there's no way to migrate posts from one instance to another, but they're still out there if you click my #FeaturedHashtags. On another note, at least followers can transfer over. Anyway, still enjoying Mastodon immensely regardless. #MastodonMigration

Oh, I noticed also that here we got 3 #FeaturedHashtags just like on #NeurodifferentMe.

I personally think it may be likely that the default Mastodon software has 3 Featured Hashtags by default and its up to the admins to make a change if they think it's #Important.

@squish has the default amount of #FeaturedHashtags displayed on a profile always been three or is it only three on this instance?

Oh nice, I can choose some #FeaturedHashtags to display at the bottom right of my profile.

Seems like only the most popular 3 display, though.

So I'm just setting #FicRec and #VidRec as featured hashtags for now.

What happened to the #FeaturedHashtags ?

I had been finding them useful but they don't seem to be displayed prominently or otherwise on the new public profiles, at least, in the browsers I use.
