2nd link - good. I have heard good things about Thomas Szasz who is mentioned. Also, I sort of get your #featureNotBug joke.
However:
While the drugs involved is interesting data, I still think we can't conclude "crazy drugs/treatments" cause these "incidents" without the context of the bigger picture of all the people under those drugs/treatments - may be most people benefit from them. It's like gun ownership - most (99%?) of the people who own guns don't go on rampages.
