A snippet of the work-in-progress track for my second EP, made of finished #febrajam works.

Here it is, the first EP is out now 🎵

I think maybe I should split the whole #febrajam album into 3 little EPs? I feel it would be better, firstly, because it would be easier for me psychologically to finish it all, and secondly, it would be easier to listen to than the whole album, which would consist of ~13 tracks.
As I said earlier, I will revisit most of the tracks of the #febrajam finish/fix it and will release it as an album. Hopefully, I'll be able to pull it off during March.
I thought there will be 2 albums, 1st is with tracks made in orca (with videos), and 2nd with tracks made another way, but I am not sure now that I have enough material.
There is also a crazy idea to make automated mix of the whole album in Orca. Again, if I post it here, there's much less chance of me giving up on the idea.
Okay, I'd like to give a little speech as my #febrajam is really over now. It actually changed a lot, I think I really want to do music again, thanks to people who listened, reposted and commented, also thanks to awesome software I used, like Orca, SunVox, puredata, Cardinal and others.
The boosts is what kept me going in the beginning, because it's much easier, as always, to quit when no one is watching and there are no witnesses.
Now I'm very much motivated to continue creating.
I revisited my last #febrajam entry, now I like it way more, it is now a little longer, more interesting, I added some more melodies and changed some sounds.
I think now it's the most compositionally complex and the longest automated track I've done in #orca. It can look (and sound) much cleaner - there is a lot of ways to optimize it, but it is a work for another day.
Done with #sunvox of course.
#febrajam #28, the last one. I did it.
#orca with #sunvox, + some sampled #vsti.
I'm sorry for not very good mixing, I barely made it in time as it is.
It was an awesome experience that I already thought I would never have - when you actually get something done and have someone to share it with.

Here is something interesting for my #febrajam #24
The ultimate #orca automation project.
This time I made custom clocks, now I can reset this track or play it from any step in any moment of time. That's good, because before, if something was going wrong, I had to wait for it to start playing from the beginning. But it needs some more work.
Also I realized I was stupid, that I can use one Q instead of multiple O's.
Again, #music is played by #orca with #sunvox.

Not something very musical today. Not musical at all. Pure experimentation.
I chopped some samples and tried to make glitches using #orca and sampler module of #sunvox. I found that you can use midi to change parameters, using Pitch2Ctl module. And I think it sounds pretty good.
But not very usable in some serious doings, because 16 midi channels would not be enough.
#febrajam #22
Another day, another monstosity in #orca. #uxn version again.
This time a "sequencer" is quite big, it even resembles a map of the Earth, haha. I almost found a perfect way of automating orca, but I have something slightly different in mind for next time.
White #sunvox looks beautiful.

#febrajam #20
Not a lot today, I had very little free time and most of this time I spend trying to make my drums swing. But to do it, I need to have faster tempo in uxn version of #orca than actually possible. So I ended up using delays in #sunvox aaand I liked it. So here is my little swinged beat.
#febrajam #19
#uxn #orca with #sunvox again.
Tried one more way of automating everything, actually I like that one more than others, I think.
Today I decided to recreate in orca a track I wrote when I was a teenager - like, I don't know, maybe I was 13-14 years old.
I didn't really succeed, for some reason I couldn't fully recreate the same sounds and moods, I'll try again sometime.
By the way I'm sorry, I only realised what it looks like at the very end, haha. I hope it is not too obvious.
#febrajam #18
One bastard called me for a walk, so there's no way I'm going to have time to do anything proper today. So I dug through my old #Reaper projects and messed around with this thing for a while.
A bit of badly mixed #breakbeat with samples of African #Gnawa music.
Amen breaks are also samples - not mine.
#gnawa #breakbeat #reaper #febrajam
@vacuumbeef wait, wait, wait.
You can use it with #uxn?!
Where can I read more?
