While I am waiting and looking for #friendica or other #fediverse alternatives to #fecesbook to take off I am still active there. At this stage "sponsored" and "suggested" posts almost outnumber posts from friends. When I look at advertisers FB claim I have recently seen the list FAR exceeds what I have actually seen. FB is not just making its users' lives miserable, they are actually lying to and fleecing their advertisers. I'm not surprised.

It's important that those who work on bringing the #fediverse together don't fall into the #snobbery trap when they hear #newbies complain about the navigation within it. We do understand that we're not in federated clones of #fecesbook or the #birdsite but those sites became popular because they did do some things right. People want #news, #community and #entertainment, so it's important to make navigating such areas of human interaction #intuitive and easy.

While I have found #mastodon very impressive and intuitive to navigate I can't say the same of other areas of the #fediverse ... I have joined a #friendica server as I'm looking for an alternative to #fecesbook ( #facebook ) but I can't seem to find forums or groups to join. Also, the server I joined merely has hundreds of users, not hundreds of thousands, and it's one of the bigger ones. Has it just not matured or are there better FB #alternatives in the fediverse?
