I love #fedidb for understanding how various parts of the fediverse are growing. I have a question on the Fediverse User Growth graph. How is this measured? I was under impression this was accumulated number of account creations in a given month. But that can't be right because then the graph would never go down (unless these accounts were deleted?)

Checking #FediDB, the numbers for #pleroma + #rebased don't look great. Combined they make up for 1.1% of software distribution on the #Fediverse, and usage seems to be declining across all metrics, including active users, instances, and users per instance.

@mastodonmigration @wogan ...and #fedidb agrees as well.

I had the same question about the #fedidb graph. The June Month end number is way below the may and the current number, which seems sketchy. @dansup ?

@dansup Is that page generated with the domains listed on fedipact.online page? I'm the admin for several federated services on liberta.vip but my Mastodon account is on the piaille.fr instance though i am not a piaille.fr admin - so maybe there's some confusing involved.

Three of the top 6 #Fediverse servers are not only not Mastodon.social but they are not even microblogging servers - but rather are #Threadiverse servers.

That is only seriously good for the entire Fedi infrastructure. Diversity is strength.
