Does anyone have an example of what remote servers receive when my instance sends out a note with AUTHORIZED_FETCH on?

I assume that the content is needs to be fetched and is not received immediately, but what does the #Activitypub structure of the "Create" activity look like?

What value does the "object" field have when Authorized Fetch is enabled?

@Valon_Blue the majority of related conversations happen via activitypub.rocks site; there is also #fedidevs group and fedidevs.org working to do some practical documentation on interop etc. As others have noted, the #SocialCG is one of the places to participate via w3c as well.

@mattjbones there’s already SkyBridge that is doing the Mastodon API translation to enable cross-posting, I think. I’m unsure about the appetite it at the federation level. Potentially worth checking in on the #fedidevs efforts to see if #ATProtocol is part of their thinking.

I got a question for fediverse developers, and especially PeerTube devs and contributors.

How does, if at all, Peertube Authenticate a remote user of another instance to control access to content?

I'm trying solutions to a similar application of this problem so I'm really curious to see how peertube handles this.

Nice! #FediDevs is a new initiative started by @gabek and still figuring out scope + objectives.

But among goals is to find practical ways to improve #interoperability of the existing #Fediverse, so that onboarding becomes easier for new #ActivityPub devs, and also to look at improving #UX of federated apps.

It is good to have people around working on different types of applications. Focus is heavy on #microblogging, but we need #forum + #wiki's too.

The #fedidevs group via venera came out of conversations at #Fediforum; and the gup.pe group was set up after the recent initial meeting of these parties (last Monday, Apr 10). The Matrix room was also a direct result of that meeting. The group hashtags/channels may or may not be used; we’re absolutely aware of the AP rocks community, it’s one (central!) part of the discussion, per e.g. https://dev.to/andypiper/thoughts-around-fediverse-developer-communities-cb6

We’ve absolutely seen over-commercialization suck the life out of promising technology projects (Over and over and over…) Even indirectly it can cause problems, like AOL and the original Eternal September.

I love the selfless, open source, people-first ethos of the #Fediverse. #FediDevs still need to eat. Admins need enough skin in the game that they don’t take their ball and go home at the drop of a hat.

Business model innovation is needed.
