Did you know that #Fedilab allows you to discover #Peertube with a dedicated layout to that software?
For that, just open the main menu and select "Peertube".
You will be able to select an instance with helpers.
Even if you don't have an account, you will be able to interact with your Mastodon account.
And if you like Peertube, you can register with the app thanks to an instance picker.

For adding accounts into a list with #Mastodon, you currently need to follow them.
Sometimes, you might not want to see their messages in your Home feed.
For that, #Fedilab has an in-app feature (working only with the app), you can mute accounts for Home only.

In profile pages, just long press the handle to copy it. The instance will be automatically added. #FedilabTips

In 3.17.0, #Fedilab introduced an automatic cache feature for the home timeline.
The goal is to cache your home messages even if you don't use the app.
It is per account and you can adjust the fetch time (default: disabled).
If you have a very active home timeline, it can be useful. The app will keep it for you in cache during 7 days.

Just a small reminder concerning a #Fedilab feature.
Currently with #Mastodon you need to follow accounts to add them in a list. If you don't want to see their messages in your home timeline, you can use the "Mute for Home" feature.
It's available from profiles or directly from a list to mute all accounts at once. #fedilabTips

If you want to see all messages when visiting profiles without to click on the magnifying glass icon each time, you can enable this feature in settings.
It can be useful for small / medium instances.

If you don't want to see DMs in your home timeline, just long tap on the home tab to open the contextual menu. Then uncheck "Show direct messages".

You might follow some accounts that write in different languages. Did you know that with #Fedilab you can filter messages from these accounts depending of their languages?

We have to clarify something between a #Mastodon feature and a #Fedilab feature.

Follow hashtags (a Mastodon feature) means that you will get messages containing that hashtags in your home timeline even if you don't follow accounts that wrote these messages.

If you want a dedicated timeline, it's a Fedilab feature called "pinned tags".
It's a dedicated timeline where you can even group several # and exclude some others. You can even only display media.

n00b question: I just reset my phone and now I can't seem to be able to follow hashtags anymore in Fedilab. I get an error that says my instance doesn't support it, but up until my phone reset I could do it.

We pinned the tag #Fediverse and with a long press, we added in "Any of these" #Fedilab, #Mastodon and #Pixelfed.
Now the pinned timeline will display all messages having these tags.
You can also exclude tags. #FedilabTips
