@paulschoe @Mastodon Thank you for replying :) I'm assuming they have deliberately coded the app to remove the bell icon then once an account has been followed? I wonder why that would be? Unless that is the actual default and other app developers have to actually add that in? It makes it inconvenient to have to log into the web version to simply have to deselect the notification bell icon on the accounts you no longer want notifications from. In the #Fedilabs app, also on your profile, I can click "block domain"

@kojack You can, at leats on the web UI. There should be a notes section Where you can put a private note about the profile. I don't know if this is on the official apps yet (I use #Fedilabs from @apps)

I am using #Fedilabs when I am busy with threads and to control my bots because they have better thread capabilities. But when I am just browsing and replying I use #Moshidon

Yeah, for me to. #Fedilabs does it less, but does show a post multipke times if it has multiple hashtags that I am subscribed to.

One feature that I would like to have in #Mastodon apps is to group the same post below multiple hashtags in my home timeline.

Currently, if I am subscribed to a few hashtags that overlap and someone uses them all in there post, I see the post multiple times in my home timeline under different hashtags.

It should be grouped or only showed on e if I post included multiple hashtags that I follow.

About 1 month ago.

I didn't like that jt opened my browser when I clicked on certain stuff, and I wanted multi-profile control. Because I run a few bots and swithcing was just too hard.

Then the bugs were these small things that just frustrated me. So I use @apps for all my profiles and advan ed control and then @megalodon when I want a simple and friendly UI when I go to bed.

So #Fedilabs is my daily driver, but #Megalodon is my goto when I just want an isolated and simple experience.

Another great feature in apps like #Megalodon and #Fedilabs is the ability to hide replies in timelines.

This promotes the feature of #threads. Because you only see the original top post and no posts out of context. So if you see a post and you are interested in the content and replies, you can click on it and go down the tree of comments. This is way better on #Mastodon than #Twitter.

I really like the idea of threads here on Mastodon. It allows for an idea based conversation, where every post is a single topic but is tied together to a larger conversation by the top post.

#Megalodon for elegance and simplicity, #Fedilabs for features and more control.

Just recently discovered the infosec.exchange #instance. Looks fun over there and would totally have gone for it if I found it before techhub.social

Will be following a bunch of accounts to get some of it to flow over into my timeline.

At least #FediLabs also allows me to follow entire #instances.

Just a question for everyone on #Mastodon. What is your favourite #Android app to use for this platform?

For me I'm using two. I'm using #Fedilabs for the federated timeline goodness and the official Mastodon app for how fluid it is.

Just wondered if there's any gems I'm missing?
