My #Pixelfed instance’s federated timeline does not work ; in the sense that it only contains my posts. It seems to federate properly as Fav, Boost and Follow work inbound&outbound.

Any ideas on what I missed / failed ?

A short bit of research. Why did you join the Fediverse (Mastodon)? And why did you stay? #FediQuestion

How should I explore the possibility of using an #algorithm on my feed? I would love to have a list of "the most recent post by each individual account I follow" in addition to the reverse-chronological feed, because some people post lots (which is great) but I am interested in what *everyone* I'm following has to say.

Is this a thing we can do on the fediverse? If so, what do I search for? If not, should I just make a suggestion on GitHub?

Is there an app feature or #extension that I can blink on and see only origional #toots?

For examples I could go on my page and turn it on to see the last thing I'd actually typed even after extended scrolling and retooting session
Or I could use it on someone I'm interested in following to see their more personal toots
Or check out all the oc on my small instance for a minute

I see posts with a translate link at the bottom, but not on all. How does i ensure my posts have that link? I see many Japanese links & none have that translate link.

How do folks know what to tag their posts with? I know mastodon search is just for tags, but there's no tag autocomplete so how do I end up with something other people look for? eg I recently posted about books - should I use #\book? #\books? #\bookstodon? Something else? I don't want to litter my post with guesses.
