Just spent over an hour to browse through the whole #Fediring of 300+ member sites

Spent a bit too much time browsing random sites from many #webrings such as the #fediring and #yesterweb

I would like to make this as automated as possible, while still leaving it entirely up to individuals on if they want to be included in a #FediRing

My current thoughts around implementation are:
- it's its own app (open source and self hostable if wanted)
- you log into it using your mastodon or compatible account (first API i want to target)
- you invite your friends to join your ring (the app sends a DM to them asking for permission)
- you can be in many rings
