Three #Mastodon / #Fediverse tools that I discovered recently and that are quite powerful:
- #Fediview https://fediview.com/ – A configurable algorithmic timeline for your feed.
- #Followgraph https://followgraph.vercel.app/ – Suggests accounts to follow based on who your contacts follow.
- #Phanpy https://phanpy.social/ – An alternative web UI for Mastodon. Hugely improves the overall experience for me.

The previous version of https://fediview.com was a giant page with lots of buttons and inputs to fill in. It had grown organically as I just kept adding in new things over time.
I just released a new version with steps:
1: Authorize (either via logging in through your #mastodon instance or manually)
2. Configure your algorithm
3. See the summary
My hope is that it's less overwhelming for new visitors. My worry is that it's more annoying for returning users.

Mastodon metrics, reports, and search for personal posts is now live on https://fediview.com! 🎉

Based on feedback from a new GitHub Sponsor, I just added language filtering to https://fediview.com.

@adamghill #Fediview (which is excellent) seems to be broken for me (and maybe others). It asked me to log in again today, so I checked if something had happened to my auth token, but it looked fine. So I revoked it, and logged in again. Now it's telling me (intermittently) that the token is revoked, even though I see it as valid in the web interface on my instance. Is this something other people have noticed?
@adamghill. Have you consider #fediview becoming a feature of some mastodon client eventually or becoming a client itself? #popularfeed
Posts on a Mastodon timeline are sorted in chronological order, new to old. I think algorithmic curation (e.g., highlighting popular posts) is acceptable as long as it's open source and testable.
#Fediview, which uses an open source algorithm, can selectively display popular posts from your Mastodon timeline based on posts' boosts and favorites. https://fediview.com/
Kudos to the developer, @adamghill

This is really quite neat:
Allows you to view popular posts on your instance over the last 24 hours. Particularly great, if maybe you want to do some catching up.
I'd love to have this sort of thing integrated into #mastodon directly.

Oh, wow, this is lovely. I just started using it, and it felt natural.
I really like how the link at the bottom left of the toot takes you to a view of it from your own instance, allowing you to interact with it.
If only #fediview was another tab I could click, besides "Home", "Local", "Federated", etc!
