Na zijn school gaat hij werken als vuilnisman, terwijl speelt hij bij de punkrockbands #Snot en #Feeble. Ondertussen ontmoet hij #ChadLarson die in 1994 de band #Aquabats opricht. Hij vraagt of Travis bij hen wil komen drummen, en voegt zich bij hen als ze hun debuut #TheFuryOfTheAquabats opnemen. Travis zijn drums staan er steeds in 1 take op, waardoor hij ook nog tijd heeft om te werken en te repeteren met andere bands.
In 1997 touren ze met de band #Blink182, deze band hun drummer
