Tomorrow (technically today but anyway) is going to be a good day.

I’m going to go to work for a few hours. I’m going to take lots of photos for my softball club for their grand final games. I’m going to cheer on my son in his grand final game. I get to see the guy I have a crush on, even though there’s no chance of anything happening. And I get to go out for dinner with a lovely bunch of people.

It’s going to be a good day. I hope your weekend starts off well, too.

So, my son (18) and I (43), and group of my friends, were out at baseball game last night watching one of our other friends play. One of my friends brought her friend who was visiting from interstate.

Today she comes up to me and says that her interstate friend had asked if my son and I were brother and sister, and when she’d told him that we were actually mother and son he’d been shocked and was sure I wasn’t old enough to have a child, let alone one who is now an adult.

It doesn’t take much to make someone’s day, but telling them they look young enough to be their teenage sons sister is a pretty good way to achieve it.
