I realize that most places have removed their mask mandates, but I’m still shocked by the number of people who go into public places maskless. Or, almost more stupidly, with their mask on their chin.

I get it. They’re a little annoying. They can be warm, they can cause your glasses to fog up. And for some people, they can make breathing a little more difficult.

But you know what’s worse? Covid. Even a mild case can be debilitating and have long-lasting impacts. And for people with chronic medical conditions, Covid is especially deadly.

Not wearing a mask indoors basically says that you don’t give a shit about even the most vulnerable people in society. Wearing one like a goddamn chin diaper says you don’t give a shit, but you want people to think you do, and that’s even more sinister.

Just do the bare fucking minimum - it’s not that hard. I don’t know where we got the idea that being an asshole is somehow a virtue, but it literally isn’t. Why should anyone give a shit about your potential minimal discomfort if you don’t give a shit about our literal lives?
