Good morning Tooters. Brrrr🥶 again, supposedly 4c feels a lot less, grey skies, no sun & at 9.15 I’m still in pjs, dressing gown & slippers.

Just 4 Feijoas dropped last night but they’re big’uns lol. I don’t eat jam so not point in making feijoa jam, but I’m wondering if anyone has ever cooked them like stewed apples. Just thinking of what to do with the abundance. #Feijoa #Fruit #Cooking

After a successful experiment on Sunday, I have used up some more #feijoa for a couple of nice freshly baked Feijoa Loaves.

Probably could have done with a narrower loaf tin to make a squarer loaf, but have come out quite fabulous and delicious (well the last one did!).

Today I have to run an errand to Eastbourne, collect #feijoa from my partner’s house, deliver them to my parents as an excuse to visit their puppy, go to the secondhand record fair at Belmont Memorial Hall, and have chicken and rice in town.

I also need to come up with a first cut of a conceptual and analytical framework for my #PhD research and redo my presentation in time for the 27th.

Busy day. Might need ice cream at some point.

Coming to the end of feijoa season, but look how many I harvested this morning (roughly 50 of them in the bag)!

Every year I get sick of eating them by the end of the season, but I crave for them when the flowers start blooming...

Perhaps, I'll make some feijoa jam!

Its almost #Feijoa season at my place, and with 6 or so trees we always get more than we can eat. Anyone tried dehydrating them before? Any tips or recommendations for food dehydrators? Am looking at the Sunbeam Food Lab, but it has mixed reviews.

Tomorrow the harvest will be 3x more abundant but the pup will be the same size and she hopefully can ditch her cone of shame.
