I finished a long project, worth almost the entire first year's credits for school (we have a strange system, it's a... thing.) It's s hand-bound book with felt applique covers.

I've shared some WIPs earlier, in April. It was to be a housewarming gift for a friend. It is still a gift to her (and my product design project for school) but just a tad bit late, haha.

I still need to make a case of a bag for the book since light felt stains easily. #BookBinding #FeltApplique #FeltArt

Well, I didn't finish this in time for the housewarming party so I'll just have to mail it to her later. I ran into a bit of a problem with the milk coffee coloured felt. It is thinner than the other pieces and oddly the smaller parts seemed to somehow shrink after stitching so I ended up removing them. I'm not yet decided if I want to replace them with a thicker felt in different colour or just trying to make the pieces a bit oversized. #feltapplique #feltart
