I have known various folks who have talked to him over the years and they say he is a nice guy, but totally keeps to himself and is ALWAYS walking somewhere. He got hurt over the pandemic while we were gone and now walks with a single crunch. He has gotten better and doesn't limp anymore, but still walks everyday, miles and miles. I have never seen him downtown Santa Cruz as he sticks to #Felton and Scott's Valley. Is he happy with the life he has chosen? I don't know but I wish him well.

There is another #homeless guy I think of during storms like this. He hangs around #Felton and #ScottsValley. We call him Quarry-Man l, because we have seen him come out of the closed quarry on more than one occasion. When we lived in SLV, I saw him pretty much daily for the last 10 years (at least). He spends his days walking between Felton and Scott's Valley. Keeps to himself and doesn't bother anyone. I assume he is homeless, but he might live in a halfway house. 🧵

Hung out with some friends from #Felton this weekend. They were talking about how they don't go #hiking in #FallCreek in the winter because it is too damp for them. We said winter is the best time because everything is nice and damp and lush. Plus we like to see all the #mushrooms and other #fungus. Then I showed them photos of the shrooms. They are now willing to give it a shot!
