I started reading "The Sentence" by Louise Erdrich, which I borrowed from a local public library.
In the book is a list of Louise Erdrich's other works. A previous library patron used that as a checklist, presumably for the books they had already read!
I finished reading "Mad Honey" by Jodi Picoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan.
I feel emotionally bruised after reading it.
I'm reading "Mad Honey" by Jodi Picoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan as part of my effort to expose myself to more women authors. In a conversation on Mastodon, I realized I was missing out on good authors.
It isn't because I am adverse or opposed to women authors. Rather it is because I am not gettng recommendations for women authors.
After asking for recommendations, I got a dozen. I have plenty of good reading ahead of me!
I'm reading "Mad Honey" by Jodi Picoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan.
This is the first book I have read where two authors have taken turns writing chapters.
So far I have been enjoying the story.
This is an awesome book, The Eighth Life (for Brilka) by #NinoHaratischvili
An epic family saga beginning with the Russian Revolution and swirling across a century, encompassing war, loss, love requited and unrequited, ghosts, joy, massacres, tragedy. And hot chocolate.
