two different books on , i thought maybe one would be good, one bad. But really one is heavy on theory, as a construct, our relationship to , & . The other is focused on the history of women with lots of vivid characters/ historical figures to illustrate. I didn't like the examination of the stereotype of women as weak with "daughters of Eve," but i think both of these will work together.

Quote from She's A Knockout (Jennings)
p. xli "Women have been competing in for thousands of years, despite the perpetual claims by opponents of that they do not belong in the ring, on the mat, or in the cage. The convenient forgetfulness or misremembering of the past is a way to erase the history of female fighters and substantiate the inaccurate belief that women have never, and will never, belong in certain male spaces."
