Mustang bass bridge and pickup pimping. Major tone improvements from a high mass bridge and Seymour Duncan pickup. Brass insert and bolt upgrade improves pickup height adjustment and fixing lifespan. String spacing adjustment.

1966 Fender Mustang Musicmaster II restoration.

Re-radius to 7.25” and refret with Fender vintage spec fretwire.
Replacement of various lost parts with official Fender parts (ferrules, string tree, strap locks).
Painting the body Olympic white (painting is not something I have much experience with, nor is it a service I offer willingly 😆 this was done as a temporary finish). I do know an excellent re-finisher though, so please ask if you need pro painting work.

It’s a Christmas miracle! 🧑‍🎄🎁

(Or, more accurately, it’s like I’ve finished removing the factory coating.)

The next stage involves lots and lots of sanding to remove the divots from the previous owner’s attempt at “relicing” so the body is ready to paint or treat. On the downside, the sanding is likely to take quite a bit of time as I can only do things like that in bite-sized chunks. (Yay for ME/CFS.)

Did a quick test with a heat gun on the back of the body to see how easily the coating comes off - it seems pretty easy going on the flat sections, but the edges are going to be fun. 😬

On the upside it’s a Tele rather than a Strat, so it’s quite a bit boxier.
