Starts with the Caribbean flavor but then veers into the wide open section over an E ground, which ventures into all manner of places (including some eye popping speed around 16:00, something he’s generally loathe to do).

I’ve decided to do a daily #SteveKimock post. He’s been one of my best friends since we were kids. Taught me to play and still drops new ideas to me all the time.
I’m going to post my favorite tracks from over the nearly 40 years I’ve known him.
Here’s a track from 2006-01-06. A composed #fusion piece with a great solo by #RobertWalter on #FenderRhodes. The head is polyrhythmic playing 3 over 4 with contrary motion lines.

George Duke - Faces In Reflection. Spacey Rhodes and synth heavvy jazz/fusion from 1974. Excellent trio with John Heard on bass and Ndugu Chancler on drums. Sonically similar to the music Duke was making with Frank Zappa around the same time (unsurprisingly), though mostly instrumental.
