A bit of #fun. My attempt to #map #historic #dialect terms for the #stickleback. Which is your #favourite? What #names are #local to you? When did you last see/catch one? They used of congregate in their millions in #Fenland #ditches and #dykes. #Farmers even used #fresh sticklebacks as #manure, spread straight on to their #fields. I hope you like the #scale. Half term so the girls and I headed north across the Fens and along a drove (sat nav madness) to Fens Falconry where we spent a very lovely evening learning about their owls and watching them fly.
