US Vice President #KamalaHarris emphasized today, as she was meeting the Philippine President #FerdinandMarcos in Manila, that her country would come to the defense of its traditional ally if it came under attack. The message was loud and clear though I think it would have been even better if she didn't have to check her notes while affirming the commitment that some in the #Philippines (including Marcos's predecessor Rodrigo Duterte) have a tendency to question.
