@AuldFoggerty aye, well, like it or not, is one area where Scottish Government has utterly messed up. It's really important to investigate why, and how we can do better in future.

But I wouldnae trust BBC Scotland to do an unbiased report on it.

And the first issue isnae the shipyard, in my opinion. It's how the board became so unrepresentative of the population it serves.

Repairs to MV Hebridean Isles, that usually serves the ferry service to Islay, will be delayed by 5 more weeks.
So MV Isle of Arran will remain on the Islay route together with the MV Finlaggan. Ardrossan-Brodick will continue to be served by the MV Caledonian Isles and MV Alfred.
The Campbeltown ferry service will now be cancelled until the 24th of August.

@MelbPTUser same here! Your posts are interesting, too. We have a relatively young, small tram system here that doesn't have good public support. It's a crying shame, 105 years ago we had a 120 mile system in this area linking adjoining cities (when combined with a couple of river ), and you could get *anywhere* with nothing more than a 15 minute walk and a few transfers.
