This is @HIWWT #FishlakeMeadows, teeming with life, a watery wilderness. Yet just 30 years ago this was an #arable #farm, pump #drained & #fertilised to grow crops. After being #abandoned it was secured as a nature reserve. #Wildlife is returning spectacularly, #carbon is being stored and the #water is cleaner. It’s a popular walk for local #people. We will need more places like this to tackle the #climate and #nature #crisis.
