68.2023 - Buenas tardes, noches, o días. #ViernesdeEscritorio: Hoy comparto Huayra OS 6 (beta). Distro oficial del estado argentino. Una distro orientada a los estudiantes, pero tiene todo lo necesario para cubrir las expectativas de cualquier usuario. Está basada en Debian, y a pesar de ser beta es extraordinariamente estable y confiable. Y sí, su estética tiene un estilo juvenil, pero también alberga nivel de personalización importante. Fácil de instalar y de usar. Con un escritorio mate que, considero un acierto. Simple, confiable, estable y con todas las aplicaciones necesarias instaladas para ponerse en marcha en cualquier proyecto tanto estudiantil como adulto (y con todas las herramientas básicas y efectivas para instalar aplicaciones). Y corre más que bien en un equipo de pocos recursos.

Una distro que vale la pena probar.

I feel the press is really missing the point when evaluating #Mastodon / #fesiverse success based on the number of active users here. Impact is different when there's no one profiting from it. This is closer in scope to a public service and as such it's been wildly successful for me

@laimis @ivory @icecubesapp We may need to remind ourselves of that again very soon if the #TwitterMigration continues to grow and the word spreads about these easy to use great looking apps. Massive growth on #Mastodon could change the #fesiverse ….

I agree that financial sustainability needs to be taken into account for #fesiverse as a whole, in order for it to be a long-term option and alternative to traditional social networks.

Your article says #freemium in the title, but in the text you refer to a free trial. That's not the same thing.

Freemium refers to an existance of free option for basic features - indefinitely, with an option to upgrade to premium.

Trying desperately to call this space the #fesiverse rather than #mastodon but it feels very much like trying to stop myself from saying I “Googled” something.

@anneroth in einigen Bereichen erinnert mich das #fesiverse, insbesondere #mastodon, stärker an #Twitter als mir lieb ist.
Ich persönlich nutze #Hashtags. Die kann man filtern (so mach ich dies auch bei Themen die mich nicht "interessieren"). Und die eine (!) Person, die mich mal wegen einer fehlenden CW angepampt hat (entweder Du nutzt CW ich blocke Dich) wurde von mir geblockt. Damit war für mich das Thema erleidigt.
