All these pictures of Yoshi-P at #FFXIVFanFest are just so wholesome. The dedication and passion for the games he works on is just so evident. It's a real refreshing take on game development that we don't usually get with other AAA studios.

XIV made things during that time a bit more bearable and I’m so happy to have found a great community through this game. It was a really wonderful feeling being side by side with many others feeling the same way. You can feel the love everyone from the dev staff to the community managers to the fans of the game put into it. It makes me so happy the way this game brings people together and I’m proud to be a fan.

Was definitely tearing up during the closing ceremony remarks. Ishikawa crying about how happy she was to see fans in person again and thanking everyone for being there was a really touching moment. Koji Fox’s words about how it made them happy when XIV fans told them the game helped get them through the pandemic and how that they were feeling the same way working on it for us meant a lot really resonated with me.

Had a great last day at fan fest! The Speaking The Language of Creation panel was really cool and The Primals concert was absolutely amazing!! They performed the song from The Twinning and had community stay come out in role colored shirts to do the meme dance the whole time 🤣 I love how much the XIV team knows their community and are a part of it themselves.

I have to admit, the Crystalline Conflict finals were fun as hell to watch. All really tight games, and very little toxic posturing.

One big caveat, though: very biased distribution of players. I think three women out of about twenty players, and neither of the final teams had any at all that I could tell.
