Isolated showers and storms today will become more widespread as we head into next work week. On top of the rain chances in the afternoon, opportunities will start to persist into the evening and last overnight. Isolated flash flooding will be possible Monday into Tuesday.

Warm temperatures, westerly breezes, and isolated showers and storms today give way to more widespread rainfall this coming work week with cooler temperatures. We start drying out Wednesday into Thursday but the cooler weather will persist as it will take some time for the heat to return.

It will be a warm day across northern Arizona with highs 5 to 10 degrees above normal. Some limited moisture is forecast to move in from the southwest, leading to a chance of showers and a few thunderstorms along the Mogollon Rim, White Mountains, and locations just north of these areas.

Warming temperatures with westerly breezes will continue this weekend. A slight increase in moisture will lead to isolated showers and perhaps a thunderstorm each afternoon, mainly over the higher terrain.
