I was looking at the #mastodon hashtags #fiberary and #marshmadness and I got the play on basketball March Madness but was wondering about why all the #fiberary tags were about knitting. Then I realized. Fiber. Not fibs. Looking forward to whatever #April brings.

Remember that last bowl of yarns stuck in the leftover snow/dye melt water?

I put some extra acid in and have left them on the counter for quite a few days, and the water is almost clear. Look at how the colours separated on the yarn I'm heating it now and I'll leave it out until I've got time to rinse it tomorrow, but it looks pretty nifty!

This morning, #VisibleMending for the last day of #fiberary. These are my very favorite pj pants, they're at least 12 years old, and the reindeer on them are all named Stanley. The patch is just a quilt square, and later I'll be darning some small holes. I wish I'd gotten more than one pair, they came from the clearance bin and I haven't found such awesome pants since! Must do my best to preserve them for as long as possible.

I don't have mending for this week's #fiberary prompt, so I just went with sewn. This blanket was both spun and woven by me. Used different #sheep breeds: Corriedale, Grey Finn, Jacob, Gotland, and Shetland. Hemmed and two panels sewn together with handspun tussah silk. My cat MO Boudreaux claimed it from day one - here is after wet finishing and has been laid out to dry: still wet but cat says "mine."

This week's #fiberary theme is intentional holes? As I said with my waffle weave piece, I love fabric that changes dramatically from web-on-the-loom to finished cloth. Lace is a great example of this. I frankly don't remember what this huck project was, but I use the end sample as a challah cover.

I know last week was color week of #fiberary but I still want to play. A set of 8 tea towels. 8 shaft twill I changed weft pattern and tie-up for each. I'll post individual underneath. Enbiggen for the pattern. These are pre hemming. My first #Fiberary contribution , my first temperature blanket made in 2021, with New Brunswick's Briggs and Liitle wool. I did not plan it in advance, I just cast on til I got bored,. Straight knitting.
