Ok, managed to sort through the tidal wave of fiber and condense it from 22 bags (and one box) to ... *checks notes* 15 bags (and one box)

There's 3 fawn and white blankets, 5 medium brown, and 3 dark gray, as well as a few bags of seconds and thirds, and whatever's in the box.

Conservatively, I estimate there's about 30lbs of blankets alone (but it might be more). Big "what have I gotten myself into" mood today

Drove out to an alpaca farm today to pick up "a few" fleeces, but when I got there the seller insisted she just wanted all of it gone and gave me the lot.

It uhhhh looked like a lot less when it was spread out in her barn 😅

No idea how much there is, but there's at least 12 blankets (one is a baby fleece!) as well as some seconds and thirds.

One wash, two rinses - it's still got some dirt on the tips, so I think I'll pick out the cleanest pieces and put the rest back in for another round.

Also - this is only 1lb of wool, and it's completely taken over my kitchen table?? It looked like a lot less when it was all bagged up, haha!

Sorting took me literally 5 hours, but now I have two bags of white wool, one bag of black, and a little bag of mixed colors that wouldn't separate.
