@MsHearthWitch That trick I already knew about - for pretty much all of February I had the #Fiberuary tag pinned to my right-most column so I could keep up with the weekly themes!
@ianbetteridge Examples of online phenomena that fit the analogy: #bloomscrolling #lichensubscribe #fiberuary

Completed and wet finished the plaid fabric I started weaving in February
No idea what I'll do with the fabric, but I feel like it was good practice
The green and red were more similar than I intended, but I still like how it turned out

@kamikat @sewing I was wondering if #memademay was a thing over here too? I really enjoyed #fiberuary (which I think came from Instagram too?), would love to see everyoneās makes in the feed here in May
Working my way thru this fantastic crochet book. Two animals completed, (fox and sheep), 18 animals to go. Lion is next. #cats #blackcats #MaineCoon #Crochet #fiberuary

One for all of my @knitting #knitting #fiberuary friends! Susan Crawfordās excellent A Stitch in Time Vol 2 is being reissued, focussing on the most popular designs, with more inclusive sizing. If you love vintage knitting patterns (or lovely knitting books) I would highly recommend https://susancrawfordvintage.com/products/a-stitch-in-time-volume-2-revisited
Finished the slouchy bubbles cabled hat I was working on made from 2-ply Corriedale wool I spun!

More progress on the cabled hat I started in Fiberuary: the knitting is complete. I let it soak for an hour, and now it is drying

Tuesday #textures #threads after sharing some of my knitting during #Fiberuary my love of craftwork also includes stitching although. Our home is many pictures I have stitched. After a conversation with some knitters here last night I only realised how much of my life has been centred on handcrafts. I had a broken shoulder, couldnāt knit so a lot of stitching was done! Difficult to take photo with the reflection from the glass. The head as many shades or thread #handcraft #FiberArts #Stitching

@nasamuffin thanks! Unfortunately missed my #fiberuary mending week projects, but now I have it for next time I want to patch something.
@Silhelm yeah, modular triangles with stripes. But agreed about the rest!
I asked a couple of friends, and one said she thought sheād seen it in color week of #Fiberuary, but thatās a long way back in the hashtag!
In Fiberuary I got excited about an old cabled hat I had made, and wanted to push myself to use my [still very inconsistent] handspun yarn, so decided to make another cabled hat with it
I had shared a really early picture, and have now made significant progress
In spite of the unevenness of the yarn, the cabling still seems to be popping nicely

#fiberuary is over, but March is National Crochet Month! The Longmont Yarn Shoppe is "yarnbombing" a tree in front of the store. In the spirit of #IntentionalHoles week, here's the strip of crocheted-together granny squares being given a loopy edge that will make it easier to affix it to the tree.
That loopy edge is:
sc, [ch2, skip 1 stitch, sc in next stich]* to end of row.
The plan is to install all the pieces on Friday, so I should be able to share some photos then!

#Fiberuary, Week 4, Day 7: Alas, the last day of Fiberuary 2023!
I finished all the color striping on my #weaving project. I only have 2.5" or so of tabby left, but because of the extreme shortness of the warp I've had to switch to using a stick shuttle and a shed stick to place every pick. It'll probably take me a couple hours to finish, if I'm lucky and don't have to rip out picks periodically like I had to today.
But it looks like I will meet my project deadline!
Itās the end of Fiberuary & Iāve slacked on posting but not on knitting! I made this capelet/āun-ponchoā - which includes some belated intentional holes - this past week. Itās casapinkaās Pawp Tart in Valley Yarns Haydenville Bulky. I really enjoyed making it & the final product is great at keeping my shoulders warm while Iām knitting in bed. (Iāll add links in a comment)
last day of #Fiberuary and I've been very quiet this last week (having my whole existence pretty much eaten up by car emergency). It's been a nice distraction to read about other people's things.
I did take the opportunity to go through my stash, better organize it, and figure out what to do with a couple of old unfinished projects. Not much to show off, but a lot to think about.
