Such a gorgeous veg! All of the brassicas were supposed to come out last week to make room for the tomatoes but this guy decided he wanted to do his thing after all. Way too handsome to pull, so even though brassicas can inhibit root growth in tomatoes I’m going to wait and see what happens.

Today’s #flower in the #garden is a star of Behtlehem. But there are many #species of #plants that go by that common name and I’m not a botanist. It has six #petals which struck me as odd (ho ho). The number of petals is often a number from the #FibonacciSequence and so what might happen here during development is that each of the three petals split into two. I’m just speculating but can someone confirm?

I had never looked into #PenroseTilings at all & I'm grateful for the introducción to them.
My son had done a science fair project on the #GoldenRatio and the Fibonacci sequence - when I had taught at a public school the sixth graders close between: the #FibonacciSequence Escher's work or tangrams, so I suggested he look at the three #maths concepts.
