I have accidentally purchased the #Fielddays Opposition Politician Starter Pack: a brand new and undirtied pair of Skellerup Red Bands. Whoops!

My decade old and well soiled* Red Bands recently sprung a leak which I detected when clearing some weeds from a drainage ditch so I popped into Farm Source and bought a new pair.

It’s Field Days this week which means all the clueless Urban politicians are going to buy a new pair of boots, scuff some mud on them, and lie to farmers that they’re mates.

Result of a couple of #biodiversity #FieldDays: hidden gems of streams visited; #amphipods sampled and identified (#Gammarus rules the world, at least the one I visited...); distribution records added and expanding knowledge on 🇨🇭 fauna; reviving my old passion for taxidermy with a cool find of a skull (guess what?).
Very satisfying indeed.
