For #FieldRecordingFriday here is a curious favourite of mine: Peter Lenaerts' "Serbian Orthodox Church of the Prophet Elijah" on the sadly missed and aptly named Very Quiet Records.
Captured in a remote, underground church deep in South Australia, this is three hours of almost-not-there sound from a stereo microphone placed between two candles, recording the entire process of both candles burning down. But it's so much more than that.

Although every day is a Field Recording day, let’s make today #FieldRecordingFriday
For this inaugural occasion, I’d like to present the impeccable work of David Michael, a professional field recordist from Sleepy Hollow, New York.
I’ve loved David’s immersive and sympathetic recordings for many years now. Here is just one beautiful example: 43.591411, -90.653675
