They started hatching the teeny tiny worms so, no, thank you. This also means that basically, there are teeny tiny eggs in figs. Should I care? Nah 😊
The ripe figs, as every year, were spotted by the atalanta (so few, so very few) and of course; the wasps! They are welcome to enjoy them. Bees are even more welcome.
The tree used to be heavy with drunk atalantas but this no longer happens. I treasure the ones I see.

we planted a #fig tree in our backyard that gets "attacked" by the vines behind it ...i regularly go down to check on it and release it from its grasp by snapping these little twirly grabby things so it doesn't end up looking like its neighbor

I didn't expect that the most surviving species after the #LaPalma volcano (#Canary Is) would be the #fig tree (#Ficus caria)! Their canopy (in green) emerge from ashes (most tree is below the ashes). #Pinus #canariensis in the background is not as healthy as the fig tree!.

My sweetheart fig bonsai is putting out new leaves all over, which can be so cute when they wear their protective shell as a hat 🎩
My Ruby rubber tree is also on the new leaf train, plus a bonus Philo. Birkin that now only does white leaves 👻
