I’m seeing the DPLA’s Banned Book Club being promoted widely, and I’m annoyed that most stories sell it as a fix-all to banned book threats, when so many of us live in locations that are specifically denied access to the Banned Book Club 🙄🤪

Reactionary "Moms for Liberty" which are the leaders of the offensive against "woke", CRT, Black history and weaponizing hate and lies against LGBT people are coming to Philadelphia the week of June 29th. Big action the evening (7 PM) of the 29th outside the "reception" at the Museum of the American Revolution. Other smaller actions during the day on the 29th. Other actions on the 30th (details as yet unclear). Speakers at the conference include white nationalists and christian nationalists. Also, DeSantis, Trump and Nicki Haley.

I recently read a thread about cashmere and the price of cashmere sweaters. The demand for (cheaper) cashmere sweaters has increased the number of goats from around 4 million to more than 21 million, and it's wreaking havoc on the environment in Mongolia, causing the same goats to starve and the water supply to the country to be in serious jeopardy.
