What are among your fav and least fav of youve really enjoyed? You know, “Should I even see this film after reading the book.” A notable pairing is the film version of “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” by Jonathan Safran Foer —really nailed the anxious energy of the book while preserving its visual structure. Also by Foer: “Everything Is Illuminated”: a clever tale on the necessity of fabricating family history. The film…what the heck was that mess?

It’s lovely () on site, but even lovelier to be with a movie in the background.

And Yay for BBC iPlayer’s having Don’t Look Now available to stream. The only Du Maurier screen adaptation I think lives up to the original book. (With apologies to all the Rebecca and My Cousin Rachel fans).

I still prefer the novella (of course - bookworm bias) but I LOVE this film. 🍿
