This is 💯 Ida Lupino’s film. But Jack Carson and Dennis Morgan are also fabulous, and when you first see them onscreen, doing a vaudeville type comedy act, you think you know what you’re in for. Nope.
So many thoughts on this one. It’s going to stick with me for a long time.

This is from an article on Dune in American Cinematographer last year. To film closer up shots that matched their CGI set with this spoked wheel shape, they created this set with tarps stretched across the ceiling and holes cut out to reproduce the same light and shadows.

I’m a little over halfway through Don’t Worry, Darling and as much as I wanted to like this movie(despite not being a big fan of Olivia Wilde or Harry Styles)…it’s just really bad.

I mean, it’s a gorgeous film aesthetically, but it’s not offering anything new or original, and it’s just so boring.

Florence Pugh is incredible though.
