And let's add just the opportunity to see The Afterlight at #FilmOnFilm, the film that is available only on one film print. Never to be seen on other format. https://whatson.bfi.org.uk/Online/default.asp?BOparam::WScontent::loadArticle::permalink=afterlightfoff2023
Oh and the reason for not travelling after #FilmOnFilm is simply that I'm travelling to build next weeks' Midnight Sun Film Festival - just too bad that these lovely festivals overlap a little bit for me.
BFI's Film on Film festival screens also 91 year old #nitrate film print of Service for Ladies from 1932. It's really wild, most film prints screened even on #NitratePictureShow are younger!

Christopher Nolan: "For me film will always have this wonderful richness, the analogue colour and superior resolution. When film is projected, the way it was originally intended to be seen, the way you shot the film, it’s a very unique experience for the audience that they can’t get in their living room… that organic larger-than-life quality a film print has.”
