I loved loved loved Polite Society!!!! Not just because of Ritu Arya... okay 10% her. I love watching her. but the movie is so fun. I was moved by the sisters and the absurdity of it and how they just threw a hail Mary and ran with it. A promising feature debut from Priya and the director, even if it had flaws. If you live in a country where it's playing theatres, GIVE IT A SHOT!

Film fans, if you're looking for a movie to watch this weekend, one of my personal favourite films is Jesus of Montreal, which I suspect works equally well for intelligent Christians and non-Christians with a passing knowledge of the crucificion story alike.

It's bitingly incisive and at the same time big-hearted.
