Couriers of The Last:
Sect members from Verdens Ende (Worlds End), convinced they are the last living people on earth. Led by a Speaker, charged with communing with "phantoms" stubbornly roaming the world, to convince you you're dead. The rest of the crew wear blindfolds and ear muffs, lest they be led astray. All are adept at blindfighting with their oars.

They are seeking one of their own, a youth eloped with a "ghost".
