I just beat the optional boss Tantarian in #FinalFantasyIX! After many unsuccessful attempts without assistance, I gave up and resorted to reading a guide. While much less satisfying, I'm glad I didn't skip it.

I encountered Tantarian earlier on in the game but was completely unprepared and died, which caused me to lose a good amount of progress since I didn't save beforehand.

Today's my first day working my at-home sales job since July. I've been doing it for 12 years. I'm able to make my own schedule and can take up to 2 months off whenever I see fit, which has suited me well.

I'm also able to play video games in between calls (and during, to an extent) so I cleaned off my gaming monitor and got my PC ready to jump back into #FinalFantasyIX, as I was using my old mini PC last time I worked. Turn-based RPGs are ideal since I can easily stop and resume play whenever.

Late entry to #ScreenShotSaturday, but unsurprisingly I caved and grabbed FFIX on the #Steam sale. Playing at 1440p, modded with the Moguri Mod (https://sites.google.com/view/moguri-mod/home), and for a port of a 23 year old game it both plays and looks impressively good!

So I'm spending the weekend indulging in some wholesomeness and a little existential dread, courtesy of the most lovable black mage.
