Graficamente Final Fantasy XII mi lascia a bocca aperta: i volti dei personaggi sono strabilianti con delle espressioni credibili e sguardi profondi, lo shot è stato fatto da #PCSX2 a 720p.
Il character design mi ricorda un po' Vagrant Story, altro titolo incredibilmente bello, ma un po' sottovalutato, per PS1.

Couple things

1) That’s the original version of Skyrim. The newer version is a few down from here with another 100+ hours on it.
2) I played the fuck out of Path of Exile until it got completely unfriendly to casuals
3) I’ve put those 280+ hours into FF XII and haven’t beaten it yet

I feel like I've just hit pivotal points in the story of both #FinalFantasy XII and XIII. On top of that, I feel like I finally developed a grasp of certain important aspects of both games' mechanics. That said, I still need to learn how to get the most out of FF12's Quickenings and FF13's Summons.

After further research, it looks like I just finished the first half of #FinalFantasyXII and since I just started Chapter 10 of 13 in #FinalFantasyXIII, that would put me right around the 69% mark.

#FinalFantasyXII came out when my wife was pregnant with our first child. I bought it sometime around its release date but only managed to get through 4 hours before my life became one that didn't involve much video game playing.

In May 2020 I started over from the beginning. I played on PS2 for a while but have since transitioned to emulating it on my phone, which is excellent thanks to its widescreen mode. I'm currently 30 hours in, trying to get out of the Tomb of Raithwall.

I've been trying to play #FinalFantasyXII via emulation on my 15.6" OLED monitor but shit's been difficult.
I tried using my GPU-less HP ProDesk but the performance wasn't as good as I initially thought it was. On top of that, everything that is supposed to be black is gray for some reason, which is an even worse offense.
I used my phone last night, which offers a much less convoluted setup, better performance, and no issues with blacks but I get no vibration in my Switch Pro Controller...

I copied all my #FinalFantasyXII data from my phone to my SFF HP ProDesk and tested the game via PCSX2. Again I was impressed with the emulation performance of a stand-alone Intel Core i5-4670K. I'm able to get 2x Native internal resolution, which I think looks awesome even on a 1440p monitor.

Now my 7-year old is playing Chip's Challenge for the first time on it and my mechanical keyboard is clacking loud enough to wake my sleeping toddler.

Tried out a slightly modded version of the #finalfantasy #d6 #ttrpg today and was pleasently surprised, a nice mix of crunch and fluff, and pretty easy for newbies. Would love to make a campaign for the system in #Ivalice 😍

OMG. How much backtracking I need to do?

Picked up #FinalFantasyXII again on the switch, started it awhile back and got distracted. @Graham_LRR’s PlayItForward reminded me to get back to it. Honestly the biggest problem with it for me is the characters. Vann and Penelo feel like they could be lifted out. Balthier is just too smug, and I feel like Fran is mainly used as cheesecake. Ashe and Basch are amount the least annoying characters but I don’t exactly love them either. Gameplay is good and I want to see where the plot goes.

I'm not a furry, BUT...
