So this is probably a really obvious thing in hindsight, but I only just realized the following. When you're in a list of search results in #Finder on #MacOS, you can press CMD+R to jump to the original location of the file. The cursor is even over the exact file you found in search, so you can directly see it in context. Just a really satisfying feature IMO!

This is a first. I've found Spotlight search on Mac desktop to be absolute rubbish. I never actually find what I'm looking for.

I'd misplaced one of the graphics I need for the next @vintageapparatus video (one with the text in the footer), and my old standby 'find' was... not finding it.

Anyone had an nvme ssd, connected to a Mac via USB C, where the volumes mount but the Finder hangs when trying to look at the contents, and Terminal hangs when you try to cd into it?

It’s an AData ssd. An HP nvme ssd in the same external enclosure runs fine. The AData ssd ran fine when installed internally in my hackintosh.
