I’ve recently had a few conversations about #deaf communication in sign languages.
At some point I learned #fingerspelling in #ASL and was later told that it’s extremely close to fingerspelling in german.
I am fluent in both spoken languages, but I never had any training in the full #signing language in either.
Now I am wondering how different ASL is from #BSL in regard to fingerspelling.
Could someone please enlighten me?

@MissingThePt The term you're thinking of is "fingerspelling" or "fingerspelled"
It refers to the practice of typing out a word using one's keyboard without knowing the correct spelling, with the hope that the spell-checker will correct it.
It can also be used as a verb "fingerspelling" and as a noun "fingerspelling error".
(I cheated)
Well, this is neat - webapp that uses the #webcam to help train #fingerspelling for #asl (my ASL sucks - I don't practice enough, and I should, since my partner is deaf. I can't say the webapp will help me a ton, since it's just fingerspelling, but I may use it to help improve my speed at least.)
